On Sunday, President Museveni appointed Sandor Walusimbi as his new senior press secretary, to replace Lindah Nabusayi who has been in the position since April 2021.
Prior to his appointment, Walusimbi has been the head of communication at State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
He is known to be a resourceful leader skilled at implementing high-profile image-based marketing and corporate relations programs with a strong and persuasive interpersonal skills.
He has an expertise on a number of fields including;

Walusimbi headed Communications department at State House Anti-Corruption Unit where he was responsible for planning, development and implementation of the unit’s communications strategy
He also headed Sales and Marketing at Wavah Water Limited. He was also Head of Communications and Marketing – UMEME Limited
Walusimbi worked at Airtel Uganda as Public Relations Manager where he was managing, upholding & enhancing the corporate reputation of Brand Airtel Internally and externally with our customers, investors, the Media, Government, partners & our communities.
Other companies he has previously worked for include; Media Services Limited as Managing Director, East African Breweries Limited (EABL) as the Government relations’ consultant, Uganda Breweries Limited as the Corporate Relations Director, Kenya Breweries Limited as the Marketing Manager, Senior Brand Manager at Uganda Waragi, and Brand Manager and Brand Promoter at Guinness.
Waluimbi holds Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics from University of East London.
