Teddy Sseezi Cheeye is dead. Details of the circumstances under which the 60-year-old died are still scanty but he was reportedly knocked dead by a speeding boda boda around Nakawa on the eastern suburbs of Kampala city.
Cheeye would be celebrating a year since being released from Luzira Prison in two days (on Saturday) but that will be no more.
Cheeye, who has lived a life so troubled in the last decade that his newsletter, The Uganda Confidential, and its wobbles on the newsstand reflects, had been a bitter man since serving his term for corruption.
