Stanbic Bank Uganda has clinched the prestigious title of “Most Admired Financial Services” Brand at the 2024 Brand Africa Awards. The recognition was announced during a high-profile event held recently in Nairobi, Kenya, which celebrated Africa’s leading private and public organizations.
The accolade comes from Brand Africa, an intergenerational movement established in 2011 to inspire a brand-led renaissance across the continent, aimed at enhancing Africa’s competitiveness and creating a positive global image. The annual awards, based on extensive research across the continent, recognize brands that are most admired by consumers, both locally and globally.
The brand Stanbic Bank Uganda is reflected in its purpose; ‘Uganda is our home; we drive her Growth’.
Brand Africa awarded the best local and global brands admired by people from the 2024 Brand Africa 100, after conducting a continent-wide survey in collaboration with GeoPoll and Kantar.
The event was attended by top decision-makers from several sectors including business, humanitarian, media, and government.
Speaking on behalf of the bank, Kenneth Agutamba, the Head, Corporate Communications expressed gratitude for the recognition. He reaffirmed the bank’s firm commitment to strive for best financial services.
The Master of Ceremony, Thebe Ikalafeng, who is the Founder and Chairman of Brand Africa, shared insights about the Brand Africa 100 journey. He discussed how different countries across Africa perceive their brands.
Later, he invited GeoPoll’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Outreach, Frankline Kibuacha, and Daniel Osema, MD of Kantar East Africa, to the stage.
They shared details about the extensive surveys, which involved over 300,000 data points from more than 30 African countries.
Every year, Brand Africa, in partnership with Kantar, the globally respected consumer knowledge and Information Company and Geopoll, the leading mobile based surveying platform with a database of over 250 million respondents in Africa and Brand Leadership, independently survey, analyze and rank brands in Africa.
