Solomon Mathews has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Lycamobile Uganda.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Solomon Mathews as Lycamobile Group’s Chief Executive Officer for the Ugandan Operation,” the company says in a statement.
Solomon has over 25 years of experience in Business Operations in a number of leadership roles and has worked in the highly competitive Telecom Market in India with leading operators like Vodafone Idea and Airtel.
Previously, he was Vice President, heading Sales Operations with Vodafone Idea, and played leading roles in launching many Telecom projects from 2G to 3G to 4G LTE, and led the Company to Market leadership position in the geographies that he was responsible for.
Solomon holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics and Communication from Manipal Institute of Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Marketing & Finance as well as a certificate of Harvard Business School Executive Programme, among other qualifications
