Q&A: URA’s Digital Strategy⏤ Robert Mutebi, the tax authority’s CIO on digitally delighting taxpayers into meeting their obligations, easily and on time On 13 October 2023, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) launched its Digital Strategy, a master plan that seeks to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery to maximise revenue growth and increase customer service satisfaction. This is in Service of the Authority’s broader purpose⏤ “A transformational Revenue Service for Uganda’s Economic Independence”. URA’s digital strategy is a pathway to enhancing the Authority’s existing digital assets, to create an always-on reliable, stable, secure and interoperable digital operating environment between URA and its public and private sector stakeholders and enablers that makes it easy for taxpayers to meet their tax obligations, easily and on time.
