Nothing brings excitement to football fans like the return of the action, and the good news is that the English Premier League is returning tomorrow with the Community Shield.

The Community Shield will see the Premier League champions Liverpool take on the FA Cup winners Arsenal in a clash at Wembley.

Liverpool who won their first league title in 30 years last season, will be taking on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who won the 14th FA Cup. Both teams are tied at 15 titles when it comes to the Community Shield.

Arsenal last won the trophy in 2017, while Liverpool last won the trophy in 2006 after beating Chelsea, the then EPL champions, two goals to one. John Arne Riise and Peter Crouch scored for Liverpool while Andriy Shevchenko scored Chelsea’s consolation goal.

After tomorrow’s game, the winner will become second in ranking of Community Shield cup holders following Manchester United who have won the trophy 21 times.

DStv will be broadcasting the game on all DStv packages on SS3 and SS10 at 6:30PM.

For GOtv, all those on GOtv Plus or GOtv Max will be able to watch the game live on Sel 2.
