Stanbic Bank Uganda recently hosted an exclusive fine dining event for its Private Clients at the Kampala Serena Hotel, exemplifying luxury and refinement.
The highly anticipated gathering brought together the crème de la crème of Ugandan corporates, including business leaders, influencers, and high-net-worth individuals who enjoyed an exquisite culinary experience featuring a carefully crafted menu of international cuisine and fine wines.
The atmosphere was electric, enhanced by soothing performances from renowned artist Soet Angel Kabera and the Black Roots Academy of Soul band, led by Tshaka Mayanja. The live music during the blue carpet session added to the evening’s allure, complemented by a cocktail selection with creative names like Legacy of 10, Offshore Surprise, and Premium Reserve.
At the reception, attendees participated in a raffle draw, with winners receiving gifts from alliance partners. Prizes included a fully paid trip to Dubai and holiday offers to various leisure parks and hotels across the country.
Inside the spacious Victoria Hall, a unique setup exuded class. Mobile screens lined the walkways, while the blue and white candlelit dinner arrangements perfectly matched the guests dressed in a stylish suit-and-tie theme.
The evening also marked the launch of the Stanbic Visa Infinite card, coinciding with this year’s International Customer Appreciation Week, themed “Above and Beyond.”
Author Kiwanuka, the Head of Affluent Banking at Stanbic, revealed that the Visa Infinite card is a premium product designed to provide numerous benefits for its holders, ranging from travel and lifestyle advantages to convenience and protection.
“We are excited to open up a world of possibilities for our clients through this solution. For instance, using our Visa Infinite card gives you access to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide through Priority Pass, travel insurance with multi-trip coverage for you and your family, including emergency medical expenses coverage. Additionally, you receive VIP status and benefits at over 900 luxury hotels globally through the Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection, a Zero Liability Policy to protect against unauthorized transactions, extended warranty protection, purchase security, return protection, and price protection, among others,” Kiwanuka stated.
Sam Mwogeza, the Executive Director of Stanbic Bank Uganda, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to driving Uganda’s growth through products tailored to customer needs.
“We want to thank you for believing in us, not just on a personal level but also as financial partners for your families and businesses. Our goal is to enhance our role in your financial journey to help improve your lifestyle and create a strong legacy that can be passed down through generations,” Mwogeza said.
He added that Stanbic operates with a purpose: “Uganda is our home, and we drive her growth.” This serves as a guiding principle for the organization.
“Some people may believe that the grass is greener elsewhere, but at Stanbic, we believe that the grass is only greener where you water it. We are dedicated to nurturing Uganda, supporting our communities, and catering to our customers’ needs. A true measure of our impact lies in how well we strengthen our communities. We are committed to helping our clients lead better lives, ensuring that the next generation has a better start than the previous one,” Mwogeza emphasized. He noted the importance of leaving a lasting legacy even after one’s passing, highlighting that few businesses outlive their founders due to simple mistakes that we can help address.
At around 9:30 PM, a four-course dinner was served in a fine dining setting with attendees remaining seated to enjoy their chosen dishes. The elegantly dressed waitstaff ensured everyone was comfortable while the Black Roots Academy of Soul entertained guests with classic love ballads.
Attendees engaged with the band’s curated playlist, enjoying memorable songs such as Mary J. Blige’s “Everything,” Bobby Valentino’s “Slow Down,” and “My My My,” which contributed to a relaxed departing atmosphere.
