Kwikiriza Aber Lois, the new Head of Marketing at Multichoice Uganda

Kwikiriza Aber Lois has on Wednesday started her new role as the Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, Africa’s leading entertainment company.

Aber is a senior marketer with over 20 years in various facets of strategic brand management, marketing spends effectiveness, brand promotions ROI, consumer engagement and innovation & consumer insight planning & research.

Among other qualities, she describes herself as a “high performing individual with a proven record of achievements in building global brands and rallying teams towards a common goals” with a  “passion for excellence with a willingness to impart their skill and knowledge onto her teams  and colleagues”.

Speaking about her new role, Aber said, “At this moment, I reflect on how incredibly fulfilling my past 10 years in the discipline of marketing and brand building.”

“I have been given the opportunity to serve great brands and make meaningful contribution to their growth and that of the customers they exist to serve,” she posted on her LinkedIn feed.

“To the MultiChoice Family- I’m honoured to serve you now.”

Prior to her new role, she was Marketing and Brand Manager Corporate Investment Banking and Wholesale Banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda where among other achievements, she drove the active participation of the Bank in the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) signature Oil & gas Convention to position opportunities both locally and internationally for the oil & Gas sector.

From October 2015 to February 2017, Aber worked as Brand Manager Premium Spirits at Uganda Breweries Ltd where she successfully rolled out the mentorship programme for Johnny Walker to drive whisky penetration and subsequently delivered 11% incremental volume against planned target YOY.

Here, she also delivered 35% net sales value ahead of year-to-date target, 56% above the previous year and 81% on volume objective on total premium spirits portfolio.

While at Total Uganda Ltd as the Marketing, Communications & innovations manager from April 2011 to October 2015, she launched the first ever large-scale lubricants campaign championed by Total Quartz to deliver an incremental volume of 30% against target.

She also won the Innovation of the year Award in 2014 across the TOTAL Africa market.

Aber also boasts of international, regional and local marketing experience, having worked in Uganda, France, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and South Africa.

Aber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social sciences of Makerere University, Certificate in Microsoft office full suite from Aptech College of Computing and a Post graduate diploma in Marketing from CIM UK.
