MSI Global Alliance (MSI), a prestigious leading international association of over 250 independent legal and accounting firms in more than 100 countries, has appointed Isaac Mugerwa, a Senior Partner at MSI’s Ugandan law member firm, Bluebell Legal Advocates as its new MSI Area Representative for Sub-Saharan Africa.
As the Africa Area Representative, Isaac will play an important role in facilitating communication, knowledge sharing, and cooperation among MSI member firms operating in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond”.
In a 31st August 2023 public statement, Andrew Leck, the MSI Chief Executive Officer, praised Isaac for “playing an active role in the growth of our membership and helping increase the profile of MSI in the Sub-Saharan region”.
“I am delighted to welcome Isaac as an MSI Area Representative. His support of MSI and his broad understanding of the Sub-Saharan African business landscape make him an excellent fit for this role. I am sure he will be a great addition to our existing group of area representatives,” added Mr. Leck.

Isaac will lead the MSI initiatives in the African Region.
About Isaac Ssali Mugerwa
Isaac Ssali Mugerwa is one of Kampala’s esteemed commercial lawyers. He is much sought after, especially by the expatriate community. In the recent past, he was appointed Special Legal Counsel to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda. The French Government also appointed him legal Counsel to its Embassy in Uganda, a position he has held exclusively for the last 5 years.
His expertise, among others, includes, corporate and commercial law, corporate legal risk management, fintech law, as well as venture capital and employment law. He is also a tax law specialist with a bias on transactional tax planning and transfer pricing. He is also a certified Insolvency Practitioner.

Bluebell Legal, where Isaac is a Senior Partner, was founded in 2008 under the name Kaddu & Partners Advocates. Although only 14 years old, its senior lawyers possess over 44 years of combined legal experience.
