City businessman, Francis Kakumba has passed on.
According to close family sources, Mr. Kakumba who was also a member of Kwagalana- a city billionaires club, succumbed to cancer of the throat on the evening of 13th March 2020 at Victoria UMC Hospital in Bukoto after a long fight with the killer disease.
Isaac Kakumba, one of the sons, writing on his Facebook timeline wrote: “I would like to announce the death of our beloved father. We have lost a pillar in our family, I’ve lost a mentor and my best friend. The most generous and understanding person I’ve ever known and glad to have been my father. May God forgive you Daddy for any misdeeds.”
There was a vigil last night at his home in Naguru, Kampala and another will be held tonight at Munyonyo, Mawanga, in Makindye Division, his other home.
A funeral service will also be held today at 1pm at St Charles Lwanga Ntinda Catholic Parish, at 1 pm.
Burial is tomorrow at Ssisa, on Entebbe Road in Wakiso District.
