In a strategic move to elevate patient care and experience, C-Care has opened a new clinic combined with diagnostics in Wandegeya, a suburb of Kampala, to a more spacious and aesthetically appealing location on Haji Musa Kasule Mall.
C-Care previously operated a smaller facility in the area that had several limitations to patients with access and service availability.
“This new location is a testament to C-Care’s commitment to its mission of delivering the most caring medical expertise, always putting our patients first,” the healthcare provider said in a statement.
“The new location at Haji Musa Kasule Mall is more spacious; it represents a significant upgrade in the services offered. The clinic now functions as an imaging and diagnostic centre, providing advanced CT scan and X-ray services. This enhancement means that doctors from Mulago and other nearby facilities can refer their patients for high-quality imaging without sending them far, thanks to the improved internal diagnostics capabilities,” C-Care further said in a statement.
C-Care also said that the move is part of a broader initiative by the C-Care brand to upgrade its facilities across Uganda. Since the rebranding began, C-Care has successfully revamped 15 of its locations and aims to complete all 20 by the end of the year. This includes transitioning some facilities, such as those in Gulu, Mukono, Mbale, and Mbarara, into full-fledged hospitals.
The Gulu location, for instance, now boasts a 25-bed admissions wing, complete with a theater, maternity services, CT Scan and X-ray Later this year, C-Care will open a new 3-story block in Mbale as part of the addition to feature 40 beds and two modern theatres.
The relocation of the Wandegeya clinic not only enhances the patient experience but also has a positive impact on the local community. The upgraded facilities and new services ensure that residents have access to top-quality healthcare close to home. By reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for advanced imaging services, C-Care is helping to improve overall community health and convenience.
Commenting on the enhanced patient experience, Mary Nansubuga, a resident of Wandegeya, said, “The new clinic will change our community. It’s great to have such high-quality medical services right here. It makes a huge difference in our lives.”
Andrew Mugalu, General Manager of C-Care IMC, reiterated that the “ongoing rebranding and expansion efforts are all about ensuring that we provide the best possible care to our patients”.
“We are proud of the progress we’ve made and excited about what’s to come,” he said.
Sheila Aboth, Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communications at C-Care, said that “relocating our Wandegeya clinic is a pivotal part of our strategy to better serve our clients”.
“By expanding and upgrading our facilities, we can deliver a more comfortable, efficient, and comprehensive patient experience. This move underscores our commitment to our brand promise of prioritizing patient care and meeting their evolving healthcare needs,” Ms. Abother remarked.
“C-Care invites the community to visit the new Wandegeya clinic and experience the enhanced services firsthand. For more updates and information, follow us on social media or visit our website.
