Cash management falls under the Corporate and Investment Banking division of the bank. The bank’s vast array of cash management solutions includes payments (funds transfer, regulatory payments, utility bill payments and mobile disbursements) and collections (domestic direct debits, corporate mobile cashless collections and bank direct collections). They also include other channels such as internet banking, host-to-host integration, APIs integration, mobile banking and online trade finance management. It also includes pre-paid cards as well as credit cards.
Absa Bank Uganda’s parent company, Absa Group, was awarded the Euromoney 2020 Excellence in Leadership in Africa Award as a result of its integrated COVID-19 response for its employees, clients, and communities across all their 12 African markets, and also as Africa’s Best Bank for Transaction Services in 2022. Absa Group’s Corporate and Investment Banking division also won the Overall Best Service Business Function in Africa award in the Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2023.

The Euromoney Cash Management Survey recognizes the leading providers of cash management products and services. The survey covers 12 product and client categories on a global and regional basis, ranking results in 56 countries.
Euromoney surveys cash managers, treasurers, and financial officers worldwide. The survey reports the standard of international and domestic cash management services corporate customers receive from their bankers. The scope included international and domestic payments, collections, liquidity management, and other services.
Respondents (Corporate customers, Financial and non-financial) are asked which top three banks they mostly use for their cash management services and to rate services provided by their lead Cash Manager on a scale of 1 to 7⏤ 1 being poor and 7 being excellent.
Corporate customers were surveyed to provide their feedback directly to Euromoney based on the experience they have had with Cash Management services.

Irene Mutyaba
Corporate Banking Director
Irene Mutyaba is the Corporate Banking Director at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. She is a seasoned banker with vast knowledge in the banking industry that spans over 17 years.
She has experience across all segments of corporate and investment banking having served in various positions as head of global corporates, head of local and international corporates, head of commodity traders and agriculture among others. Irene started her career at Standard Chartered Bank in 2004 and has worked in numerous markets to gain international experience, including in Ghana, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
Irene holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences – first class (hons) from Makerere University and is currently pursuing her master’s in business administration from the Durham Business School in the UK.
She’s a seasoned professional with a track record of championing change, driving strategy and building a high-performance culture.
Beverley Chebwa Chiluba
Head – Transactional Services, Corporate Banking
Beverley Chebwa Chiluba is the Head of Transactional Services, Corporate Banking at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. He is a seasoned Transactional banker, product strategist, and solutionist thinker with 27 years of post-qualification experience.
He possesses extensive expertise and a diverse range of experiences at International, pan- African and multi-domestic levels covering all sectors and client segments.
Beverley started his Career as an IT Professional and transitioned into product management and has worked in multiple countries and has led several pan-African initiatives on behalf of the Absa Group.
A Certified Product Manager, he holds an MBA (Management) and an MSc (Strategic Planning) from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. He is also an alumnus of Duke Corporate Education and the IMD School of Business.
He is a seasoned expert with a proven history of spearheading transformative initiatives, steering strategic direction, and cultivating a culture of execution.
Brian Muhame
Product Manager, Corporate Banking
Brian Muhame is a Product Manager, Corporate Banking with Absa Bank Uganda
During his 18-year tenure at the bank, he has developed expertise in implementing projects focused on driving the bank’s digital strategy, particularly for Corporate and Investment customers.
His experience spurns digital channel development and adoption for corporate customers across various sectors including Global Development Organizations and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)
Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Library and Information Science attained from Makerere University Kampala and a Certification in IT Service Management as well as a Microsoft Certification in Database Management
David Segawa
Implementation Manager, Corporate Banking
David Segawa is the Implementation Manager under Corporate and Investment Banking. He is a seasoned banker with over 10 years of experience in banking in the fields of customer service, payments, reconciliation and technology.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Information Technology from Makerere University,
He is very passionate about technology and follows the Global tech trends.
Pauline Baluka
Implementation Manager, Corporate Banking
Pauline Baluka is the Corporate Banking Implementation Manager with Absa Bank Uganda. She is a seasoned banker with over 7 years of experience in transactional banking.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management (Hons) from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Certificate In Management and Accounting (CIMA) from the First Intuition in the UK.
Before joining Absa Bank Uganda, she worked with Stanbic Bank as an Electronic Banking Officer and Digital Consultant for 6 years.
Pauline is passionate about change, consistently improving client experience and constantly raising the bar.
Jackie Namalome
Product Manager, Corporate Banking
Jackline Namalome is a Product Manager at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. She is a seasoned banker with vast knowledge in the banking industry that spans over 16 years.
She has experience across various Retail and Transactional services under corporate and investment banking having served in various positions as Product Manager, Cash Manager, Branch and People Manager, and Branch Operations Manager, among others.
Jacqueline started her career at Barclays Bank in 2007 as a Teller and has worked in Retail and Corporate business units to gain Banking experience.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UNICAF University, a bachelor’s degree in Insurance,(hons) from Delhi University, PG Diploma in Financial Management from NILEM-Chennai and is currently undergoing a MASEDI Leadership program under Absa Bank through the Networking company.
She holds a track record of cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and sales teams to identify new product solutions and develop them for the market through identifying and assessing risks as well as opportunities.
Julius Semazzi
Head of Implementation, Transactional Products and Services
Julius Semazzi is the Head of Implementation, Transactional Products and Services, Corporate.
His banking experience spans over 15 years with key strengths in Transactional products and services i.e., Product development & Implementation, Product adoption and Utilization.
Julius is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Certified Product Manager [CPM] AIPMM from The Association of International Product Marketing and Management. He also possesses a Quality Management Systems Audit Certification – Udemy.
He is passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences as it is core to any business’ performance. It can only be upwards or downwards.
Barbara Sanyu
Transactional Services Manager, Corporate Banking
Barbara Sanyu is a Transactional Services Manager at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. She has extensive knowledge of cash management products and is currently responsible for structuring cash management solutions for corporate clients to grow the banks’ balance sheet and revenue.
Before Absa Bank, Barbara worked with Standard Chartered Bank and held different positions with the last as the Implementation Service Manager, spearheading the digital agenda for the corporate clients of the bank, whilst effectively cross-selling other cash management solutions. She gained international exposure during her work in Mauritius.
She holds a Master’s in Business Administration, majoring in project management and a Bachelor of Information Management both from Makerere University.
Barbara has an agile mindset with a desire to evolve, unlearn and relearn new skills to cope with the dynamic working environment. She has a track record of championing change.
Esther Kenjura
Transactional Services Manager, Corporate Banking
Esther Kenjura is the Transactional Services Manager in CIB at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. She is a seasoned banker with diverse and broad experience spanning over 10 years.
She has experience across functions having served in various positions as a personal banker, sales manager, and Branch manager in the Retail function before joining Corporate Banking.
Esther holds a master’s degree in business administration from ESAMI( Eastern and Southern African Management Institute).
She’s a seasoned professional with a track record of managing client relationships, providing high-level products and innovative solutions as well as playing an advisory role to clients.
Enock Kasirivu

Enoch Kasirivu is an Implementation and Support Manager at Absa Bank Uganda Limited. He is a seasoned banker with vast knowledge in the banking industry that spans over 7 years.
He has experience across all the products and channels within the Corporate and Investment banking segment and has played an instrumental role in participating in the development and driving utilization of these products within CIB.
