To strengthen leadership and governance, New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Limited (Vision Group), Uganda’s largest multimedia company recently appointed two Board Directors and two members of the Board Audit and Risk Committee.
The two board directors are Dr. Patricia K. Litho, an academician, researcher, and media practitioner as well as Dr. Edward Damulira Sengonzi, an accomplished accounting professional. The Board Audit and Risk Committee members are Mr. Paul Banadda Kiyingi, an accounting expert and Ms. Juanita Kakyubya Karamagi, a project management professional.
The Patrick Ayota-led Board also has Sarah Irene Walusimbi, Robinah Kaitiritimba Kitungi, Peter Kawumi, Michael Nyago, Aéko Ongodia, David Kenneth Mafabi and Julie Piloya Okiror as directors.
Don Wanyama (Managing Director & CEO) sits on the Board while Gervase Ndyanabo serves as the Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary.

Dr. Patricia K. Litho (Director)
Dr. Litho is an academician, researcher, and media practitioner with a wealth of experience spanning over 24 years. She has skills and experience in journalism, mass communication, social work, public and media relations and gender mainstreaming among others.
Dr. Litho holds a PhD from the University of East London, and a Masters in Communications with a bias in marketing from Schiller International University, London, UK.
Amongst many accolades and awards, Dr. Litho has been recognised by the World Summit on the Information Society- Gender Caucus. She also received a PhD Scholarship from the International Ford Foundation Fellowship Program. She also holds the John Eggert Award which is presented to a graduate student that has displayed outstanding leadership abilities. She also holds the best student recognition from the School of Journalism and Media Management, Uganda Management Institute, Uganda.
Dr. Litho, is currently the Head of Communication and Information Management, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. She has previously worked as the Principle Corporate Communication and Community Outreach Officer at Rural Electrification Agency. She also has worked with Southwark Policing and Community Consultative Group, London, UK as a development worker.
Dr. Edward Damulira Sengonzi (Director)
Dr. Damulira is an accomplished professional with vast experience and professional skills in Accounting, Project Planning and Management, Policy Analysis, Economic Management, as well as Resource and Environmental Economics among others.
Dr. Damulira holds a PhD from Makerere University in Economics, a Masters in Economic Policy and Planning from Makerere University and a degree in Quantitative Economics also from Makerere University. He also holds an Administration Officers’ Law Course from the Law Development Centre.
Dr. Damulira is the Under Secretary/ Accounting Officer, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (Privatization and Investment). He has previously been the Principal Assistant Secretary to the Office of The President (Kampala City Council Authority) until 2017. He has worked as the Principal Secretary, at the Ministry of Health and as a Private Secretary – Social and Welfare to His Excellency the President of Uganda.
Mr. Paul Banadda Kiyingi, (Board Audit and Risk Committee, Member)
Mr. Kiyingi is an accomplished professional with strong Accounting, Operational Management, and Financial Management skills earned over 30 years. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Secretary and a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional.
Mr. Kiyingi holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & investment from the Cyprus Institute of Marketing, and he is a certified tax advisor by ICPAU. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK, and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the UK.
He has worked with Pride Microfinance as a Non-Executive Director. He has also worked with ECOBANK (U) Ltd as Head of Operations, with Global Trust Bank as Head of Operations, Commercial Microfinance Ltd as Head of Operations, and Chief Internal Auditor.
Ms. Juanita Kakyubya Karamagi (Board Audit and Risk Committee, Member)
Ms. Karamagi is an accomplished professional with nearly 20 years of experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Business & System Integration, System Development & Implementation, Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance among others.
Ms. Karamagi holds a Masters in Financial Management from Vlerick Gent Management School, Katholieke Universiteit, Belgium. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University.
She is a certified financial analyst, a certified information systems Auditor and a Project Management Professional. She has worked with the American Tower Corporation as a Project Manager and Consultant, she has worked with Rivendell Group Ltd, Vivo Energy (Formerly Shell) in Nairobi, Kenya, and Shell International Oil Products; in London, UK.
Some of her key achievements include being seconded to an international posting as a Global Business Analyst with Shell in the United Kingdom. She has also won the much-coveted Shell Crystal Award for exceptional performance in the Shell East African Region.
