Digital marketing guru, Danze Edwin, previously Next Media Services’ Head of Digital Marketing and Operations has been elevated to Chief Marketing Officer.
This follows an ongoing digital-first people shake-up at the Naguru-based multi-media Group. Next Media runs three televisions an online news portal, a radio station, and a media production agency, among other new-media ventures.
As CMO, he will be in charge of selling the Group’s refreshed digital-led direction- an all too familiar role, since his previous role, he oversaw digital strategy, analytics, community management, content creation, client service, media buying and monitoring, editorial and production.
He has 10-year experience in digital marketing, having worked for some of Uganda’s leading advertising agencies in Uganda such as TBWA, Fireworks Advertising and Fideli. He has also received training from Deutsche Welle, BBC World Services, Voice Of America, and the US Agency for Global Media.
He has also curated and collaborated on global campaigns with brands like; Deutsche Welle, Voice of America, Activision, Call of Duty Mobile, Warner Bros, Disney and Marvel Studios.
Locally, he has worked on campaigns with brands like Crown Beverages, Century Bottling, Nile Breweries, Uganda Breweries, Total Energies, Vivo Energies, Statehouse anti Corruption Unit, URA, NSSF, and so many more.
