Brig Gen Chris Bbosa, the new Defence Attache’ to the Peoples’ Republic of China

The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) Chief of Staff Land Forces Maj Gen Leopold Kyanda has presided over the Hand/Take Over ceremony of the office of the Defence Attaché to the Peoples’ Republic of China from Brig Gen Emmanuel Rwashande to Brig Gen Chris Bbosa.

Maj Gen Kyanda thanked the Outgoing Defence Attaché Brig Gen Rwashande for uplifting Uganda’s image both militarily and economically to the people of China and world over.

He emphasized that the role of a Defence Attaché is to reciprocate military diplomacy at any given opportunity for peace and stability to progress.

He encouraged the newly appointed Defence Attaché to China Brig Gen Chris Bbosa to be competent in whatever circumstances to further uplift Uganda’s image on the international scene.

The Outgoing Defence Attaché to China Brig Gen Emmanuel Rwashande thanked the President and Commander-in-Chief of the UPDF His Excellency Gen Yoweri Museveni and the UPDF fraternity for entrusting him with the opportunity to handle the diplomatic assignment. 

He also expressed his gratitude to the UPDF leadership for appointing him as the new Chief of Civil-Military relations within the UPDF.

Brig Gen Chris Bbosa, who has been serving as the UPDF Acting Chief of Training and Recruitment thanked the UPDF leadership for allowing him the opportunity to serve his country in another capacity.

He promised to work harder in promoting Uganda’s diplomatic mission to China.

The function was also attended by the UPDF Chief Personnel and Administration Maj Gen George Igumba, Ministry of Defence officials and other UPDF senior officers.
