COVID-19: MTN, Airtel re-introduce 50% discount on money transfer charges

Telecommunications giants MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda have re-introduced a 50% discount on money transfer charges effective today 26th may 2020. For instance, an MTN Mobile Money customer can now send any amount between UGX 500,001 to UGX 7 million at a discounted UGX750 instead of UGX1500.
