As I reflect on my 16-year journey at Kampala International University (KIU), I am filled with gratitude and pride. Studying and working at KIU has been a transformative experience that has offered me the epitome of success and an ocean of knowledge.

I thank God for the opportunity to join the KIU community, where I earned my PhD in Public Administration and Management, and now serve as a proud senior lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies. My academic journey, including previous degrees from Makerere University, has led me to this fulfilling role at KIU

My heartfelt gratitude goes to the university’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba, whose unwavering support and visionary leadership have created a nurturing academic environment that fosters excellence. Your bravery, phenomenal leadership, and commitment to academic excellence are an inspiration to us all.

As we celebrate KIU’s 25th anniversary, I am reminded that excellence is not an accident, but the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution. I am forever indebted to KIU for the opportunities it has provided me.

As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” At KIU, we believe that education is a passport to the future, and that leading with a sharp mind can create more positive change than running towards challenges with a sharp sword.

As we mark this milestone, I invite you to join us at KIU, where people dream, accomplish their goals, and create a brighter future.

My university, my pride, I am grateful to thee, I am proud and I will always be.

Happy 25th anniversary, KIU!
