Cinnamon Solutions appoints Doreen Rutazaana as Chief Executive

Cinnamon Solutions is a fintech company that digitises and automates the activities and financial records of Savings Groups, SACCOs, Investment Clubs, and VSLAs, has announced the appointment of Doreen Rutazaana as its new Chief Executive and Executive Director on the Board. 

The appointment is effective September 1, 2024.

According to a company statement, Doreen brings over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having worked extensively with SMEs, commercial enterprises, NGOs, and corporate institutions. 

“A seasoned leader, she specialises in Agribusiness, Women in Business, and Supply Chain Banking, with a proven track record in driving business growth, innovating banking and financial inclusion solutions, and improving process efficiencies,” the company said. 

“She is deeply passionate about financial inclusion, sustainability, and green initiatives, particularly within last-mile communities. We are confident that Doreen will bring fresh perspectives and innovation to elevate Cinnamon Solutions to new heights. Her transformational leadership will be instrumental in shaping the company’s future,” the company added. 

Doreen holds an Executive MBA from Valar Institute, a Master’s in Marketing Management, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics from Makerere University.

Cinnamon Solutions’ suite of innovative solutions streamlines operations, enhances transparency and empowers Savings Groups, SACCOs, Investment Clubs, and VSLAs to manage and track their finances efficiently in a digital environment.
