Ambassador Joan Rwabyomere is a board member of the Electricity Regulatory Authority.
She has served on the Board of the Electricity Regulatory Authority since July 2014.
With a wealth of experience in politics, management, diplomacy, business and leadership both in the private and public sectors, at national, regional and international levels, Amb. Rwabyomere has contributed to and overseen the formulation of Guidelines, Regulations and legal frameworks that have facilitated smooth investment in Uganda’s Electricity Supply Industry and improvement of the Quality and Reliability of Power Supply.
She is a former Uganda High Commissioner to London (2006 – 2013), and to Nigeria (2000 – 2005) and has successfully served on the boards of various organizations, including Uganda Electricity Board, Civil Aviation Authority, National Enterprise Corporation, and Women in Diplomatic Service.
Ambassador Rwabyomere has also served as a Member of Parliament and as a Junior Minister.
She is a qualified Lawyer with LL.B (Hons) from Makerere University, a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Investment and a Masters of Business Administration in Oil and Gas Management.
